Ulcinj
Ülgün, with its Turkish name, is a touristic and historical city located on the coast of the Adriatic Sea in Montenegro. Ulcinj is also the port city in the south of Montenegro. It is close to the Albanian border and has some of the most famous beaches in the country. Ulcinj is the agricultural city of Montenegro. There are direct flights from Turkey to Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, and the journey takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. The bus journey from Podgorica airport to ulcinj'ne takes approximately 2 hours.
It is an ancient castle in Ulcinj. It was built by the Illyrians on a small peninsula on the right side of the Gulf of Pristan, which is part of the Adriatic Sea. Walking between the ruins of the old Illyrian castle, the narrow alleys with shops and restaurants are reminiscent of old times.

Long Beach
With its 13 km beach, it is one of the longest beaches in Europe and Montenegro. It is the most important kite surfing destination on the Adriatic Coast. It is a lake located in the north east of Ulcinj. It is also known as Little Skadar Lake because it has the same flora and fauna as Skadar Lake, which is much larger than Šas Lake. During the warmer months, the lake is full of many different bird species such as Pelecanus flakes, Podiceps cristatus, tachybaptus ruficollis. It must be visited to see this visual feast.
Valdanos beach is crescent-shaped, known for its rounded pebble shoreline stretching up to 300 meters. Although the beach of Valdanos is not very attractive due to its stony and earthy nature, its sea and bay are incredibly beautiful because it is located in a virgin area. When you go here, do not forget to visit the lighthouse located at the far end of the promontory to the left of the beach.
Museum of Ulcinj's corsairs (pirates)- In the pre-medieval period, Ulcinj was known as one of the pirate capitals of the Adriatic Sea. You should definitely visit the museum where ancient ruins, pirate clothes and boats are exhibited.
Mala Beach
It is located between Ulcinj Castle and the Jadran Peninsula. It is a small beach with fine sand and calm waters suitable for swimming. It can host more than 2,500 holidaymakers.
Rocky cove with pine trees and a cafe with sun loungers, famous for its sulfur-yellow waters. Ladies Beach is known for its curious waters, a mixture of sulfur, radium and sea salts from its underwater spring. Pine resin from the sea trees on Ladies Beach floats above the beach. Locals have long believed that Ladies Beach and sea caves offer healing powers for ailments and special help to women with fertility problems.
Nightlife in Ulcinj is very lively and fun, especially in summer. The bars and nightclubs in Ulcinj are concentrated on the beaches. There are places where you will come across different types of music.
It is an important landmark in Ulcinj that once served as a lighthouse. The small cultural center was established in 1798 and has also served as a religious school and refuge for travelers and the poor.
